ETHICS POLICY
Training Media Review’s
principal asset is objectivity. For over 13 years, we have prided
ourselves on furnishing the workplace learning community with product evaluations
that are fair and actionable.
REVIEW POLICIES
Here are our essential review policies:
- Reviewers are not employees of Training
Media Review. They are company trainers or independent consultants
and must have five years of experience. TMR never tries to influence their ratings.
- Reviewers do not consult for vendors and evaulate their products. Other industry analysts typically consult with vendors and evaluate their products. We regard this as a blatant conflict of interest. If you are unsure of an analyst's conflict-of-interest policy about consulting, be sure to ask before you buy.
- All products are given hands-on reviews. We never
evaluate products on the basis of marketing materials or demos.
- TMR never endorses a product. Every review has a link to the vendors as a convenience to subscribers. TMR does not receive a fee for click-throughs using the vendor link on a review page or a vendor listing in the Directory.
Currently, about 18% of the products in our active
database have received a four-star rating, our highest evaluation.
At the other end of the scale, 30% have received a two-star or lower
rating.
