TopSim was a pioneer business strategy game—it originated from a German-language simulation that appeared in 1982. It is now a collection of strategy games, starting with Manager, a single product-single market simulation that emphasizes basic managerial knowledge.
According to the vendor, the simulations are usually played in a three- to five-day seminar with 15 to 25 participants. Topsim is now owned by TATA Interactive Systems, a large Indian software company.
